Loading New Products into HubSpot
Import process
- Prepare the new Products by exporting this Product Table view to use as a template. See columns meaning cheat sheet below.
- Create new products. For the Name, please name new products using the format described below.
- For NY: UTILITYCommodityZoneDate. Examples:
- NATGRIDElectricityB05-2025
- KEYNYNaturalGas04-2025
- For PA: UTILITYCommodity[CustomerTypeLetter]Date. Examples:
- COLGASNaturalGasR11-2025 --> "R" for Residential
- METEDElectricityC11-2025 --> "C" for Commercial
- For NY: UTILITYCommodityZoneDate. Examples:
- Please note: the capitalization of the name must be exact, or the Deals in HubSpot will not match to the correct products.
- All of the fields that have data in the export need to be filled in for the newly created Products by state.
- The SKU field needs to be filled identical to the Name.
- “Rate” and “Unit price” both need to be filled in.
- Once your CSV or Excel file is prepared, import it here. https://app.hubspot.com/import/40211458
- Click “Import a file.”
- Click “Start import.”
- Select “Products.”
- If the file you are importing only contains new Products that do not exist yet, then please select “Create new Products only.” We recommend this method.
- Add dates to Name/SKU and use new SKU for new date so that prices for Products and Deals align after Product Price changes.
- Please enter the rate into both the “Unit Price,” and “Rate” fields just like with NY. “Rate” will copy into “First Month Variable Rate” on the Deal.
- We need “Sold from Date” and "Sold to Date" entered so that the correct Product is selected with Line item association. Agway will use the day the new first month price goes into effect.
- Just leave a column blank if it is not relevant to PA.
